Sergio’s gap-study was carried out today and the results are quite promising. The distance of the gap between his upper and lower esophageal pouch is very close indeed. As a result, esophageal repair surgery has now been moved forward to this coming Friday. This operation date is much sooner than expected and obviously we are currently feeling both excited and nervous with the news. Sergio got a lovely toy and beautifully designed cards from senior infants in St. Audoens Primary School, Dublin and we very grateful for these kind gifts.
